  1. I have felt right at home at the Lahaina Public library because of working day after day with the great Lahaina Rotary Club, but also being a friendly ear to Madalene Buchanan, Head Librarian, and her staff. Madalene knows that what ever she says to me, that I will listen to her and not turn a deft ear to her, or let it go in one ear and out the other.

A lot of the information that I shared today with Sen. Jill Tokuda, and State Senator Gilbert Keith Agaran was not from being the Super Volunteer but from being the MFOL Secretary of the Board for the last three and a half years with very detailed monthly minutes.

The two of our guests were great to have there with Dorothy Tolliver, our President, Madalene Buchanan, head librarian, Sara Foley, our outstanding leader thru out this whole project and Norm Bezane, our always present Blogger who has recorded the whole history of this meeting. I know all the numbers because of my detailed minutes, and because I was active in the whole volunteering story from the first day of real work to the reopening of the library.

Great meeting with very good participation from everybody.
