DAY 49: A Big Day as the books return. Rotary Club of Lahaina/Maui Friends of the LIbrary Daily Timeline

Saturday eight members of the Rotary Club of Lahaina/Maui Friends of the Library team celebrated the return of 750 banana boxes

containing 35,000 books stored at 5A Rent-A-Space. We celebrate with a new look on the blog. PLANNING IS UNDERWAY FOR REOPENING CELEBRATION

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18 WITH AN APPEARANCE BY STATE LIBRARY RICHARD BURNS AND GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS.

Three months after beginning a community initiative to refurbish the interior of the
Lahaina Public Library, volunteer superstars (l to r)

Caswell and Nancy Montoya joins hands in celebration.  Grand reopening will be Nov. 18.

The chairs and miscellaneous bookcases return from 5-A Rent-A-Storage

More boxes in as empties line the vestibule.

Rotarian Nancy Montoya who packed books in August returns for reshelving operation which will go on much of next week.

Reinstalled computers in stand in wait as boxes of books accumulate. Two more truckloads next week.
