DAY 18: FInding the concrete: ROTARY CLUB OF LAHAINA/MAUI FRIENDS OF LIBRARY FACELIFT PROJECT

On Day 18 Simon Russell (left) and Greg Chappel of RVS Construction make rapid progress on removing old glue from the floor. Russell–when not on his day job– is running for the state legislature in the 13th district. (sara foley photo)

A day and a half of grinding erases the black tile glue and gets down to bare concrete. The concrete base will then be ready for placement of handsome, concrete like floor tiles. 13th district.
